The Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was the worlds tallest building, before being surpassed by the Taipei 101. Tower 2 was built by the South Korean Multinational Samsung Engineering & Construction and Tower 1 by Hazama Corporation of Japan. They were the world's tallest buildings from 1998 to 2004.The Petronas Twin Towers was designed by Argentine-American architect, Cesar Pelli. The 88-floor towers are made of concrete, with a steel and glass. It is built in an Islamic art, a reflection of Malaysia's Muslim religion.
Below the twin towers is Suria KLCC, a popular shopping mall, and Petronas Philharmonic’s Hall, the home of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. The towers feature a skybridge (constructed by Kukdong Engineering & Construction) between the two towers on 41st and 42nd floors. The bridge is 170m above the ground and 58 m long, weighing 750 tons. The skybridge is open to all visitors.
